Often the only time I get to go anywhere out of the studio is when I’m on scout camp…So while camping in the glorious midlands this Summer I made an escape and visited Clare in the Handmade Design Studio in Mullingar.
Clare’s shop is so delicately curated, each piece chosen with the evident care of an interior designer, you can instantly see how everything might sit in a home.
Clare’s passion is hand painted furniture and she has a constant rotation of classic pieces given a unique twist with her well chosen colours and patterns….Clare and I chatted for a while about techniques, styles and materials, you can really tell she has a gift not only for decoration but also for adornment. She can pick the perfect accessories to compliment the furniture.
