I love entertaining and I like to do it without too much fuss, so this simple salad is perfect as it is so quick to prepare and keeps really well – no wilting leaves in sight!
Broccoli and Bacon Salad
- 1 head of fresh broccoli
- 1/2 red onion chopped finely
- 2 crispy cooked rashers of bacon
- 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sunflower seeds
Crumble the rashers.
Cut the broccoli into small bite-size florets.
In a large bowl combine the bacon, broccoli and onion.
In a small bowl whisk 3 tablespoons of Mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar.
Toss the dressing over the broccoli mix and then sprinkle the sunflower seeds to serve.
The perfect size bowl for this salad is the Medium Large Impressed Bowl. I think it looks particularly good in ruby damask colourway but also works in Blue Deco.
