My first in person events in forever!
The SEEK contemporary urban arts festival hit Dundalk this week, and it has been so much fun!
I love the festival itself. Meeting and watching world-class muralists creating huge paintings on Dundalk’s streets is a massive treat. The festival is in its third year so there are many walls to see and it is well worth getting on the free walking tour to get the story behind the walls.
I have volunteered as a guide on the tours for the past three years, but this year we got involved even more, and I am taking part in two of the festival fringe events.
First of we have HIDE an exhibition of new work by Bridge Street Studios responding to the themes of this year’s walls.
AND this Saturday, we have the Louth Craftmark Summer Fair; following on from the success of the Louth Craftmark Winter Fair in Bellurgan Park, Louth Craftmark are taking to the streets for a one-day art & craft fair.
I would love to see you all, I shall be in Church Street in Dundalk for the day, and the lovely Avril will be in the studio just across the road so you can see where the work is all made!
Well worth a trip to the town!
See you Saturday!
